In a setback, London Police bans massive Kashmiri protests outside Indian High Commission

LONDON: In a setback, London Police bans massive Kashmiri protestsoutside Indian High Commission.

As per media report, London Police has imposed a ban on British Kashmiriprotestors from assembling outside the Indian High Commission on 27thOctober 2019 when thousands will assemble in London from all over theUnited Kingdom for a major protest against Indian occupation of Kashmir andthe lockdown of the occupied territory following the revocation of Article370.

It’s understood that Home Secretary Priti Patel lobbied with the Police toget the protest banned outside India House. Prime Minister Boris Johnsonhad said in the parliament that the Home Secretary will be speaking to thepolice to address concerns of Indian government.

Under Section 14 Public Order Act 1986, the Scotland Yard has restrictedthe protestors from taking the procession to outside Indian High Commissiona short distance from the Parliament Square.
