ISLAMABAD – Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi says signing of Kartarpurcorridor agreement despite challenges is manifestation of Prime MinisterImran Khan’s strong determination.
In a statement on Thursday, he said it is a historic day as the PrimeMinister has fulfilled his promise made with the Sikh community.
He said the agreement reflects Pakistan’s foreign policy that highlightsIslamic teachings with regard to respect for other religions.
The Foreign Minister said, under the agreement, five-thousand Sikh Yatreeswill be able to perform their religious rituals at Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahibwithout visa.

He said the Sikh yatrees residing in foreign countries can avail thisfacility on Indian origin card. He said, as per promise, the Prime Ministerwill perform the inauguration of the corridor on the 9th of next month.
