ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan started his address saying that thecountry has received an ‘excellent’ bailout package from Saudi Arabia.
He remarked that the country will seek a smaller loan from theInternational Monetary Fund now. “If we would’ve taken a bigger loan fromthe IMF, then it would impose more restrictions on the people.”
He said that Pakistan is currently talking to other friendly countries andtold the people to expect more good news in the future.
The address came a day after Pakistan secured a $6 billion bailout packagefrom Saudi Arabia. The prime minister is explaining the state of Pakistan’seconomy and the steps PTI government is taking to overcome the challenges.
