Converting PM House into University: Important development made

ISLAMABAD – Important step has been taken by PM Imran Khan over convertingPM House into a University.

A high-level meeting on Wednesday approved setting up of an Institute ofAdvanced Studies (IAS) in the first phase.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) led government has announced plan to turnthe Prime Minister’s House into a high quality university as part itselection manifesto and austerity drive.

The government has announced to convert the palatial Prime Minister Houseinto a university after coming into power following the July 25th generalelections. As per the plan, additional structures will be built behind thePM House for the purpose.——————————

On Wednesday, a high-level meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s officeto review the progress so far made on the decision to turn the PM Houseinto a university.

The meeting was presided over by Prime Minister Imran Khan, which was alsoattended among others by Federal Minister for Education and NationalHeritage Shafqat Mahmood, Chairman Higher Education Tariq Binori, and HECand other officials.
