Pakistani Minister spreads panic with news of 7.1 magnitude earthquake in Pakistan

Islamabad: Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry on Tuesdaystated that an earthquake of 7.1 magnitude jolted country.

While praying for the safety of fellow citizens, Fawad added that theepicenter of the shallow 7.1 magnitude was near Jhelum.

At around 4PM on Tuesday [Sept 24], a strong earthquake jolted parts ofPunjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Azad Kashmir and Islamabad. The tremorslasted for 10 to 15 seconds. link

As per reports garnered thus far, Mirpur area of Azad Kashmir has emergedas the most affected area where dozens have been rushed to hospitals afterincidents of roof collapses.
