NEW DELHI – Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah faces a setback as he has beenruled out of the Test Match series against South Africa, India media hasreported.
Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the upcoming three-match Test seriesagainst South Africa due to a stress fracture in his lower back. Board ofControl for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed that Bumrah’s injury wasdetected during a routine radiological screening and that he would nowundergo rehabilitation at National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Karnataka.
“Team India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has sustained a minor stressfracture in his lower back and has been ruled out of the upcoming PaytmFreedom Series for Gandhi-Mandela Trophy against South Africa.
The injury was detected during a routine radiological screening. He willnow undergo rehabilitation at NCA and will be monitored by the BCCI MedicalTeam,” the BCCI said in a press release.
