What is behind extreme frustration of Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat?

NEW DELHI – Indian army chief General Bipin Rawat has questioned PakistanPrime Minister Imran Khan’s peace proposal extended to Prime MinisterNarendra Modi.

He has said,“When Imran Khan came to power in Pakistan, he tried to sendsome messages of peace. But whether the entire establishment in Pakistanwants this peace is what we have to understand.”

“There seems to be some kind of variation in what is being uttered, what isbeing spoken about and what we’re seeing in action on the ground. I thinkthere is disharmony between the two,” Gen Rawat said.

He said that though Islamabad has time and again maintained that its soilis not being used for terror activities, however, the commitment has failedto transpire on the ground.

“They [Pakistan] keep saying that they won’t let their soil be used forterrorist activities against other nation. But we can see that terroristactivities are taking place and terrorists are coming from across theborder,” he said.

He also accused Pakistan of intentionally causing trouble in Kashmir byradicalising its youth.

This is the defeat in the rising freedom struggle in Occupied Kashmir, whatis actually frustrating Indian Military Chief.

Thousands of Indian military soldiers have lost their lives in OccupiedKashmir in last few years alone and after Burhan Wani, Indian Army is in afix.

“Pakistan wants this type of violence to continue in Kashmir. They wantthat peace shouldn’t return in this area. They’re trying to radicalise theyouth of Kashmir. Pakistan has decided to bleed India with a thousandcuts,” he said during the interview.
