*KARACHI- Former Opposition leader and PPP stalwart Khursheed Shah landsinto hot waters as t**he National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiatedthe investigation against erstwhile opposition leader of National Assembly.*
*NAB investigations have been kicked off against Khursheed Shah for owningdisproportionate assets than his his known means of income.*
According to sources privy to the matter, NAB Sukkur has approached variousinstitutions in order to collect the details of Shah’s assets.
The PPP leader’s son and son-in-law have also been made a part of theprobe, the sources added.
The anti-graft watchdog has launched a crackdown against high profilepersonalities involved in corruption and money laundering cases.

On September 18, Chairman National Accountability Bureau, Justice (retd)Javed Iqbal said that the NAB efforts have resulted decrease in Pakistanranking on Corruption Perception Index from 175 to 117.
The NAB chairman described bribery and corruption as poison, saying “Wemust put it down with an iron hand.”
