WASHINGTON – Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has responded to thethreats hurled by the Indian Army Chief.
He on Monday said that despite Pakistan’s commitment to improve relationswith India, the country is fully capable of thwarting any sort ofaggression.
“India’s decision to opt out of dialogues is disappointing and is contraryto diplomatic ethics. The aggressive comments of the Indian Army Chief andIndian government’s backing out is only to distract the world from it’sinternal issues,” FM Qureshi said while speaking to a press conference inWashington.
He added that Pakistan is fully capable of responding to any sort ofaggression. “Scores of Indians are critical of the Indian government’spolicies in Kashmir. Also, there are concrete evidences of foreigninvolvement in Balochistan. We are capable of thwarting any sort ofaggression and will do so if necessary,” he said.
