ISLAMABAD – The first session of the Council of Common Interests (CCI) hastaken an important decision over the controversial deal with Qatar.
CCI Monday decided that the LNG deal would be made public as it deliberatedon a seven-point agenda including the issues of energy and water.
According to the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination, the seven-pointagenda covered import of liquefied natural gas (LNG), a countrywidecleanliness drive and setting up a task force for streamlining regulatoryfunctions.
The Petroleum, Exploration and Production Policy 2012 and matterspertaining to Workers Welfare Fund and Employees Old-Age BenefitsInstitution (EOBI) also come under discussion during the meeting.
