UNITED NATIONS: United Nations has expressed serious concerns over human rights situation in Palestine in the wake of recent border violence between the Gaza Strip and Israel.
The concern was expressed by UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Raad Al Hussein while briefing Committee on the Exercise of Inalienable Rights of Palestinian People via video from Geneva.
Zeid called for addressing the root causes of the recent demonstrations in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Palestine Liberation Organization says recently approved Israeli nation-state law violates all bases for peace in the Middle East.
Talking to reporters in Ramallah, PLO secretary general, Saeb Erekat said law aims at destroying two-state solution.
