ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mian Saqib Nisar has said that judiciary will safeguard democracy and supremacy of constitution in the country.
Addressing a ceremony in Lahore on Monday, he said the judiciary has fulfilled its promise to hold general elections in time.
He said that Justice Tahira Safdar will be the next Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court, which will be first time in country’s first time any women judge will high rise to that post.
He said that he has always tried to ensure that justice should be seen, to being done.
The Chief Justice said that unfortunately, some elements are striving to weaken the institution of judiciary. APP
