MULTAN: (APP) Five terrorists were killed by the firing of their own accomplices, during exchange of fire between the terrorists and counter terrorism police.
According to police, an information received by the police that six to seven terrorists hailing from TTP were planing to attack at important installations and personnels of law enforcement agencies in Punjab.
These terrorists were hiding in area of Kurd Chowk at Indus Highway in Rajanpur district.
A CTD Multan team alongwith Rajanpur police raided at the hideout to arrest the terrorists.
The raiding team asked them to surrender, but the terrorists opened fire at police. The police also retailiated in self-defence. Five terrorists were found dead by the firing of their own accomplices, police said.
Two or three unknown terrorists also managed to escape from the scene taking advantage of darkness.
The police also recovered three hand grenade, one automatic rifle and two TT pistols from the site.
