*ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Sunday categorically rejected the malicious Indianpropaganda regarding the alleged use of the Kartarpur Corridor for businessmeetings.*
According to a Foreign Office spokesmanlink,it is obvious that this concoction is part of India’s deliberate smearcampaign seeking to undermine Pakistan’s historic initiative of opening theKartarpur Sahib Corridor for Sikh pilgrims from India and around the world.
“There is nothing new about India’s desperate bid to malign the “Corridorof Peace” and divert the world’s attention away from the grave injusticesbeing done to its own minorities, especially Muslims, who are beingtargeted with impunity by Hindu zealots in utter disregard of all tenets oflaw and justice,” the spokesman said.
He further said that Pakistan accords the highest primacy to the rights ofthe minorities. “Sanctity of religious places and revered sites of everycommunity is ensured in Pakistan,” the foreign office said adding, justrecently, Pakistan hosted over 2000 Sikh pilgrims from India alone who werehere to participate in the annual Baisakhi festival held from 12-21 April2022.

The foreign office asked India to desist from casting fallacious aspersionson the Kartarpur Corridor which was a gift by the government of Pakistan tothe Sikh community, and instead focus on taking meaningful steps toeffectively protect its own religious minorities and ensure the safety oftheir lives and places of worship.
