The main left-wing party in the country—the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)has started preparations for the next general elections and demandedapplications from candidates for the national and provincial assembliestill April 30.
PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi said in the light of the decision of theCentral Executive Committee (CEC) chaired by Chairman Bilawal BhuttoZardari in January, applications are being invited from the candidates.
Kundi said it was decided in CEC that by selecting the candidates in timeand they will be allowed to start their election campaign in theirconstituencies.
He said those who want party tickets should send their applications to thePresident of Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) at the addressof Bilawal House Karachi or Central Secretariat House No 1 Street 85 G6 / 4Old Embassy Road Islamabad.
The PPP leader said a draft of Rs40,000 for MNA and Rs30,000 for MPA shouldbe submitted along with the application. He added that after April 30, therelevant committee will make a decision and finalize the names of the PPPticket holders.
