ISLAMABAD – Federal government takes important decision over the countywidecoronavirus lockdown.
Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar said Friday thatthe countrywide lockdown had been extended till May 9 as Pakistan battlesthe coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking at news conference, the minister said that a meeting of theNational Coordination Committee (NCC) meeting that was held at the NationalCommand and Control Centre (NCOC) decided to extend the date of thelockdown.
He said that the NCC was about to start the implementation of the trace andtrack system from tomorrow. “Consultations were held with chief secretariesand then health ministers at the NCOC.
The prime minister has given approval for the system.”
