LAHORE: Punjab Assembly (PA) Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Wednesdayexpressed confidence in Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar, and rejectedspeculations that his party was in contact with the Pakistan MuslimLeague-Nawaz (PML-N) [for a possible change in political scenario inPunjab].
Leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Elahi spoke to the media inLahore, and rejected reports of meeting between his son Monis Elahi andHamza Shehbaz and termed them as “incorrect.”
He asserted that he was an elected speaker of the provincial assembly ofPunjab, and had no desire of becoming the governor.
“Alteration in cabinets is the privilege of the prime minister and chiefministers.”
