India is losing Kashmir, admits top Indian leader

NEW DELHI- Former Indian minister and seasoned politician Yashwant Sinhaupon return last month from his eight-day visit to occupied Kashmir, hasacknowledged that Indians are losing the valley.

This was disclosed by none other than the former Indian intelligence chief,Amarjit Singh Dulat, while delivering a lecture on Kashmir in Pune.

Yashwant Sinha in his findings had said that the situation in Kashmir haddeteriorated further.

In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorismmartyred four Kashmiri youth in Pulwama district, today (Tuesday).

The troops killed the youth during a violent cordon and search operation atGoitango Laam in Tral area of the district. In the meantime, threepersonnel of Indian forces including a Special Police Officer were killedin an attack in the same area.

People took to streets in Tral town against the operation. The troops usedbrute force and fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells injuring moreprotesters.

The Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in a statement issuedin Srinagar asked India to repeal draconian law, Armed Forces SpecialPowers Act, from the territory. The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples LeagueChairman, Mukhtar Ahmed Waza, addressing a party meeting in Bijbehra alsomade the similar demand.

The Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference during a meeting in Srinagar urgedthe international community to fulfil its responsibilities to mitigate thesufferings of the people of Jammu and Kashmir due to illegal occupation ofIndia.

On the other hand, the Communist Party of India-Marxist in a statementissued at the end of its 22nd Congress in Hyderabad, India, said that thepolicies of Narendra Modi-led government are pushing Jammu and Kashmir intodisaster.
