LAHORE – Former foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar may be arrested after anFIR was registered against her in a fraud and forgery case filed by herbrother.

She along her father, Noor Rabbani have been nominated in a forgery casefiled by Khar’s brother, Abdul Khaliq, according to a reportlink>bya private media outlet.

According to the report, the former foreign minister’s brother, AbdulKhaliq, filed a fraud and forgery case against 25 people, including hissister and father Noor Rabbani and alleged that the accused had illegallytransferred family property.

Abdul Khaliq had already filed a complaint at the directorate ofanti-corruption which registered a fraud case against the accused after aninitial investigation.

Hina Rabbani Khar is a post-graduate in hospitality and tourism from theUniversity of Massachusetts and became the Minister of State for Financeand Economic Affairs in 2009. She also served as the 26th Foreign Ministerof Pakistan.

Khar was not only Pakistan’s youngest and first woman foreign minister butalso became the first woman to present Pakistan’s national budget in theNational Assembly.
