Pakistan Cricket Board punishes Lahore Qalandars team

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Cricket Board punishes Lahore Qalandars team for slowover rate against Islamabad United Match.

Lahore Qalandars have been fined for maintaining a slow over-rate duringtheir one-wicket loss against Islamabad United on Sunday at the GaddafiStadium.

Since this was the Qalandars first offence, the 11 playing members havebeen fined 10 per cent each of their match fees as per Article 2.22 of thePakistan Super League Code of Conduct for Players and Player SupportPersonnel, which deals with minimum over-rate offences.

Qalandars during the stipulated time were two overs short of their targetafter taking into account time allowances.

If the Sohail Akhtar-led Qalandars are found guilty of another slowover-rate during the tournament, then it will be deemed as their secondoffence and each member of their playing squad will be fined 20 per centeach of their match fee.
