LAHORE – Punjab government’s spokesperson said “NAB abused power byarresting (ex-DG of LDA) Ahad Cheema”. Ahad Cheema was remanded for 11 daysin NAB’s custody.
Malik Ahmad Khan said the anti-graft body shouldn’t have had overused itspowers.
“They should have seen whether they are harassing someone,” he added,stressing that how the government will serve the people when the machineryis being paralyzed.
He defended Cheema saying he cooperated with NAB and gave details ofassets.
Punjab government has formed an inquiry committee to probe NAB’s action.
