LAHORE: Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Chairman hasrevealed that media watchdog will issue licences to 76 new televisionchannels.
Addressing a seminar organised by Department of Mass Communication at theGovernment MAO College on Thursday, the PEMRA chief said, “Future of themass communication students is bright… PEMRA will be giving licences to 76new channels.”
“We are trying to give more licences to entertainment channels… Right now,235 radio stations have been given licences out of which there are 175commercial licences,” he added.
