ISLAMABAD – Pakistan successfully conducted training launch of short rangesurface to surface ballistic missile “Nasr”.
According to ISPR, the missile will enhance the operational efficiency ofarmy strategic forces command.
It will also re-validate the desired technical parameters.
This training exercise involved launching of quad salvo for desired effects.
Nasr is a high precision, shoot and scoot weapon system with the ability ofin-flight maneuverability.
This weapon system has augmented full spectrum deterrence posture remainingwithin the precincts of policy of credible minimum deterrence, againstprevailing and evolving threat spectrum.
The launch was witnessed among others by Chairman Joint Chiefs of StaffCommittee, General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Director General Strategic PlansDivision and Commander Army Strategic Forces Command.
The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee appreciated the standard oftraining and operational preparedness of army strategic forces command.
He also congratulated the scientists and engineers on developing thissophisticated weapon system to enhance Pakistan’s deterrence capability.
President and Prime Minister of Pakistan and services chiefs have alsocongratulated on successful conduct of the training launch.
