KABUL (AA): The Taliban took responsibility on Wednesday for killing a U.S.soldier in Uruzgan province of Afghanistan.
This comes as the two sides are engaged in landmark face-to-face talks inDoha, Qatar to end the longest American war of history in the war-ravagedcountry.
Qari Yosuf Ahmadi, the Taliban spokesman, noted in a statement three U.S.soldiers were killed on Tuesday in a powerful IED attack in Uruzgan’scapital, Tarinkot.
However, the U.S. military said on Tuesday only one service member waskilled by ‘enemy fire’ in Afghanistan.
