KABUL – In Afghanistan, sixteen members of a family including women andchildren were killed in the southern Helmand province when an airstrikedestroyed their home.
According to the head of the provincial council Attaullah Afghan, theairstrike was launched in the Sangin district during heavy fighting betweenAfghan forces and the Taliban.
Afghanistan Forces have earlier also carried out air strikes against thecivilians.
