*ISLAMABAD- Pakistan Foreign Office has condemned the US Drone strike atthe Pakistan Afghanistan border violating the sovereignty of Pakistan.*
At least two suspected militants were killed in a drone strike on Wednesdaynear the mountainous Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
According to sources, two missiles were fired from a drone at a house inSpeen Thall area – on the confluence of borders between Hangu district ofKhyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Orakzai – as a result of which two suspectedmilitants of the Haqqani network were killed.
A local official has also identified the militants as Ahsanullah aliasKhorai and Nasir Mehsud. The deaths were also confirmed by Station HouseOfficer (SHO) Thall, Ameer Zaman.
In two separate drone strikes last week, two militants were killed whileanother was injured in two drone strikes near the Pak-Afghan border withKurram Agency.[image: PHOTO: EXPRESS]
The first drone hit the house in Badsha Kot area of Lower Kurram Agency andinjured one person. The house was completely destroyed in the incident,confirmed the sources. The second drone hit Afghanistan’s Khost area wherethe US missile targeted a militant hideout killing two terrorists.
Pakistan has repeatedly said that drone strikes on its soil are a violationof its sovereignty. Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mansour was also killed inone of such strikes in 2016.
