"There is very little time left in Pakistan India world cup match, and fans who were enthusiastic about the match are disappointed that airfares and hotel prices in Ahmedabad are skyrocketing. In Ahmedabad, where the Green Shirts' match against India will take place on October 14th, hotels are completely booked, and some are offering rooms at premium rates.
According to Economic Times, the prices of flights to Ahmedabad from various parts of India have increased by 104% to 415%. A travel operator said, "Traveling to Ahmedabad during match days will be an expensive affair. We know about some hotels here that have charged as much as 80,000 rupees per room, considering the high demand."
However, the price increase is only for the Pakistan-India clash and not for any other matches. Travel operators have requested airlines to increase flight frequencies from October 13th to 16th while keeping the demand in mind.
Gujarat's travel agents and tour operators association president, Anuj Pathak, said, "People from all over the world, including fans, supporters, sponsors, and media personnel, are planning to come for an exciting game."
