In a conversation with the ICC, he shared that he draws inspiration from former South African bowling legend Dale Steyn.
He expressed his admiration for Steyn's aggression and the way he displays it on the field, mentioning that he tries to emulate it after taking a wicket, albeit occasionally going a bit overboard. Dale Steyn holds a special place as his all-time favorite.
Regarding Pakistan's fast bowling unit in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, he noted that the squad has remained largely consistent over the past two years. They have built trust in each other, and based on their past performances, they are determined to give their best at the World Cup and aim to bring the trophy home.
