Karachi: During a crackdown against unregistered and counterfeit medicines in the southern district, medical stores were raided, and multiple fines were imposed.
According to details, an operation was carried out against the hoarding of long-term, life-saving drugs in medical stores. In these operations, fines totaling 380,000 rupees were imposed on 20 medical stores.
It was reported by the AC that 2 medical stores have been sealed, while warnings have been issued to several others. Actions were taken in Clifton, Gizri, and various areas. Fines of 120,000 rupees were imposed on 3 medical stores.
Operations were conducted in different areas, including Liaquat General Hospital, Chakiwara, and Lee Market. Fines of 160,000 rupees were imposed on 15 medical stores. In Garden, 2 medical stores were fined 100,000 rupees each, and 2 shops were sealed.
