An aircraft crashed in the Pune district near Gojubavi village during a training session on a Sunday, according to an official from the Pune rural office department.
Onboard the aircraft were two individuals, a trainee pilot and an instructor, both of whom suffered injuries and were promptly transported to a hospital, India today has reported.The incident occurred at approximately 8 am, as reported by officials.
In a statement issued several hours following the emergency landing, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DCGA) disclosed, "The Red Bird Academy Tecnam aircraft with registration VT-RBT executed an emergency landing in close proximity to the Baramati airfield.
Thankfully, both the instructor and trainee emerged unharmed. Further investigations into the incident are currently in progress."
