Imran Khan disqualification case: Important development reported from Lahore High Court

A three-judge bench of the Lahore High Court has been formed to hear a petition challenging the disqualification of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan in Toshakhana reference.
LHC Chief Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti will head the bench which will be comprising of Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh and Justice Sajid Mehmood Sethi.
Justice Sethi had requested the chief justice to form a larger bench to hear the petition.
Petitioner Jabir Ali has challenged the disqualification of PTI Chief Imran Khan by the Election Commission of Pakistan in Toshakhana reference.
According to the petition, the ECP is not a court, therefore it is not authorized to disqualify any person. The petition requested the court to void the ECP ruling regarding disqualification of the PTI chairman.
