ASP Suhai Aziz Talpur recommended for highest gallantry award

KARACHI - Assistant superintendent of police Suhai Aziz Talpur has been recommended for highest civil gallantry award.

Talpur was among the first to rush to the Chinese consulate in Karachi upon reports of gunshots and blasts heard outside the building.

ASP Suhai Aziz led the security operation to foil the terrorist attack on the Chinese consulate, successfully engaging the suspects on the site.

The first woman ASP from lower Sindh, Suhai Aziz received praise for her bravery from the Sindh chief minister and Inspector General Sindh Police. During his briefing to the Chinese consul general about the incident, CM Murad Ali Shah stood up and hailed her bravery.

“Suhai Aziz, you have set an example of bravery. These are the women who are ahead of everyone,” he was quoted as saying. A

Following her brave leadership in the security operation, IG Sindh Dr Kaleem Imam has recommended Suhai Aziz's name for the prestigious Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal. She is the first woman police officer in Sindh Police to be recommended for the award.
