ISLAMABAD - PTI government Tax Amnesty Scheme turning out to be a failure as So far as not even a single casee has surfaced in one week out of total six weeks.
Despite the passage of a week after the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government announced its first tax amnesty scheme – for whitening of undisclosed expenditures, sales and assets, including foreign assets, at nominal tax rates – the required form to avail the scheme’s benefits could not be prepared.
Hence, no person has taken any benefit from the scheme yet, while one week from the total six weeks of the scheme has passed.
According to sources, officials of the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) have also been awaiting for the form.
People, who wish to get benefits under the scheme, would be required to mention their assets in the form.
