PM Imran Khan's signed cricket balls sold for 65,000 CAD for Diamer Bhasha Dam fund

ISLAMABAD - PM Imran Khan signed cricket balls were sold for 65,000 Canadian Dollars for Diamer Bhasha Dam fund.

According to details, one ball was auctioned for 30,000 CAD and the other was sold for 35,000 CAD.

Addressing the event, former chief justice Saqib Nisar said following the Supreme Court verdict no one could stop construction of Diamer-Bhasha dam.

He lauded PM Khan for his honesty. He said love of overseas Pakistanis for the country was remarkable.

On March 21, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed had left for Canadian city Edmonton to take part in a fundraising campaign for Daimer-Bhasha and Mohmand dams.

Javed had said so far $1.5 million had been collected in Canada during dam fundraising campaign.

A fundraising was also held at a mosque in Ottawa by the Pakistani community, in which cheques worth $0.4 million were submitted by the people.

In a statement, former chief justice Saqib Nisar had said the spirit of overseas Pakistanis for a cause of their own country was commendable.
