Joint Investigation Team on Sahiwal incident presented its initial report to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Tuesday, holding CTD responsible for the killing of Khalil and his family members.
The report was presented at a high-level meeting in Lahore.
Later, talking to newsmen in Lahore, Punjab Law Minister Muhammad Basharat Raja said the initial Joint Investigation Team's report found no terror links of late Khalil family, and held the Counter Terrorism Department officials responsible for their killing in Sahiwal tragic incident.
The Law Minister said provincial government has relinquished Additional Inspector General CTD Operations (Punjab) and DIG CTD from their post, and told them to report to the Federal government.
He said that the SSP CTD and DSP CTD of Lahore region are suspended.
He said that challan of five CTD officials will be presented before the Anti-Terrorism Court tomorrow.
He said that PTI government as per its promise has completed its promise of a quick and transparent investigation.
Law Minister said that JIT chief Ejaz Shah had asked further time from the government to investigate the background of Zeeshan, who was also killed with the members of the Khalil family.
He said that facts about the case would be revealed to the media during tomorrow's in-camera briefing.
