ISLAMABAD: (APP) Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday reserved it judgment regarding Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI)'s Chief Imran Khan plea challenging disqualification reference against him in Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Chief Justice Anwar Khan Kasi resumed hearing of the case moved by PTI, Chief Imran Khan through his counsel Baber Awan.
The court reserved its verdict after hearing the arguments from both sides at large.
During the course of proceedings, Deputy Attorney General (DAG), Fasi ur Rehman Niazi appeared before the bench and argued that delay tactics being used to avoid ECP decision in reference, which was expected against Mr. Khan.
He said sometimes lawyers appear before ECP and sometime they could not ensure their presence.
DAG appealed the court to allow the ECP to proceed the reference against PTI chief.
Babar Awan counsel for the petitioner had pleaded in the petition that the reference filed against now became time barred as 90 days have passed with regard to reference being pending before the ECP.
He said the ECP was bound to decide any reference within 90 days.
After hearing the arguments from both sides, the court reserved its judgment in the case.
