LAHORE – The Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan will hear several important case today in Lahore.
SC will hear fake account case on Monday in SC Lahore Registry.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar will hear the important case today.
Two-member bench headed by the chief justice would hear long-running the fake account case. Justice Ijazul Haq will also be part of the bench. The case will be heard at the apex court’s Lahore registry.
On the other sides, the court would also hear the cases related to Khokhar brothers and journalist’s murder case.
It is pertinent to mention here that the joint investigation team (JIT) has submitted the final report included in volume 8 of the fake accounts case to the Supreme Court Lahore Registry. The hearing will be heard on December 24.
According to the report, key documents and proofs about Omni Group and Lucky International have been found from the house of Anwar Majeed.
On Friday, the banking court in Karachi has extended the interim bail of former president Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur till January 7 in the money laundering scam.
Zardari and Faryal Talpur appeared before banking court. The judge granted an extension in the PPP leaders’ bail until Jan 7. When Zardari reached at the banking court, he was seen nervous and worried but after extension in bail he was smiling.
During the hearing, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials adopted a stance before court that the JIT report related to the fake accounts and money laundering was submitted in the Supreme Court. It also said that they are waiting for the decision of the apex court on the case.
