KABUL - Afghan government complains of cross Durand Line shelling from Pakistan.
The Afghan government has slammed Pakistan for recent rocket attacks on the eastern parts of Afghanistan, calling it a violation of international principles.
Local officials have confirmed that Pakistan has fired almost 200 rockets on eastern provinces of Afghanistan which are located along the Durand Line.
“Government of Afghanistan strongly condemns Pakistan’s recent missile shelling on the Afghan soil,” President Ghani’s spokesman Sediq Sediqqi said in a statement.
“We believe this act runs counter to all international principles and is an indication of Pakistan’s lack of commitment towards Afghan, and regional peace and stability,” he said.
Back in February, the Afghan government sent a letter to the United Nations to protest Pakistan’s rocket shelling on Afghan soil.
