LAHORE: (APP) The Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) will organise an "International Heritage and Museum Conference" in collaboration with the British Council from September 1 to 3 at the Alhamra on The Mall.
According to a WCLA spokesperson Tania Qureshi, the conference aims to bring together heritage and museum professionals from around the world to show examples of best practice as a step towards addressing some of the most pressing concerns of the museum and heritage sector in Pakistan.
The event will bring together international sector specialists to share knowledge, best practices and discuss the challenges faced by Pakistan in the areas of museum and heritage.
The first two days of the conference will be devoted to the presentation of case studies on creating pride of place and identity, enhancing public and community participation, audience development and extending outreach and integrating intangible heritage.
On the third and the last day of the conference, some workshops on digital imaging of sites and objects would be held.
