ISLAMABAD – Pakistan is on the verge of discovery of largest ever shale oiland gas reserves of its history.
A policy to exploit massive Shale gas and oil reserves will soon befinalized.
These reserves were identified after a study completed in collaborationwith the USAID, covering lower and middle Indus Basin.
A study has confirmed presence of 10,159 trillion cubic feet Shale gas and2,323 billion of stock tank barrels Shale oil in place resources.

The drilling would be initiated soon by the foriegn company and thereserves would be the largest ever shale reserves of Pakistan’s history.
As per the media report the reserves would be enough to cater needs ofPakistan for the next 50 years.
