Pakistan and Russia have agreed to further broaden their bilateralengagement on issues related to combating international terrorism and otherchallenges to security.
The understanding was reached at the 9th meeting of the Russia-PakistanJoint Working Group on Combating International Terrorism and OtherChallenges to Security in Moscow.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continue dialogue on counteringthe financing of terrorism.
The meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia,Oleg V. Syromolotov and Additional Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairsof Pakistan Nabeel Munir.
During the meeting, the two countries also renewed their commitment tocounter the spread of terrorist propaganda in the information space,particularly on the Internet, and the phenomenon of foreign terroristfighters.
