ISLAMABAD – Middle East leading airline opens direct flights to Pakistan.
Jazeera Airways has launched its direct flights to Karachi, servingPakistan’s most populous city with a weekly flight. According to astatement issued by the airline, the new service is the first in twodecades between Kuwait and Karachi and the second for the airline toPakistan. It supports the growing trade relations between both countries.
In 2018, Kuwaiti exports to Pakistan crossed the $1.5 billion mark, mainlydriven by oil exports, while exports from Pakistan to Kuwait reached $180million. Kuwait is home to over 130,000 Pakistanis.
Jazeera Airways CEO Rohit Ramachandran said, “We are very pleased to havelaunched our new service to Karachi and offer our customers direct andtransit routes to Pakistan’s premier economic and social hub.
The launch comes as part of our strategy to cater to the large expatriatesand business communities in Kuwait as well as connect customers from ournetwork to popular business, tourism and religious destinations in theMiddle East and Europe through Kuwait.”
