Twitter suspends top terrorist organisation account on Pakistan government request

ISLAMABAD – Twitter has suspended the account of terrorist organisationBalochistan Liberation Army (BLA) on Pakistan government request.

The account was suspended after the group claimed responsibility for theterror bid in Karachi.

The social networking site took down the Twitter handle after the militantgroup uploaded pictures of three attackers who targeted the Chineseconsulate tucked in the southern metropolis of Pakistan.

This is not the first time BLAS has claimed responsibility for terrorattacks in the country but calls by Twitterati to suspend the account ofthe group could be the core reason behind the suspension which waslong-overdue.

Earlier, in August, the group had confirmed that one of its suicide bombersRehan Baloch targeted a bus carrying employees of Saindak Copper-GoldProject in Dalbandin.

Moreover, Allah Nazar Balochlink, the leader of BLA kept on spewing venom and hatred against Pakistan onTwitter through his handle @DrAllahNizar – an account which is nowdeactivated on Twitter.
