ISLAMABAD – Capital Development Authority has raised multiple questions andobjections over the regularisation of the Bani Gala property held by PrimeMinister of Pakistan.
The process for the regularisation of property owned by Prime MinisterImran Khan has come to a halt as the Capital Development Authority (CDA)has raised 14 major objections.
The civic agency has forwarded a letter on Tuesday stating that there wereseveral missing links in the prime minister’s application.
According to the letter, the prime minister did not provide the certifiedcopy of mutation/register Haqdaran-i-Zameen (Fard) issued by the tehsildarand only photocopy of old Fard Inteqal in the name of Jemima Khan wasprovided.
The authority stated that no proof of ownership in the name of Imran AhmedKhan Niazi was submitted and until the applicant provides requisitedocuments, the case for regularisation of the building cannot be processedfurther.
It added that the attested copy of the computerised national identity cardof Imran Khan was also missing while the person representing him was alsorequired to have an authority letter from the owner.
CDA clarified that the prime minister had submitted unsigned sketches ofthe building, asking the applicant to furnish structural drawings anddesign along with a structural soundness and stability certificate issuedby a CDA-enlisted engineer.
The agency also asked the applicant to provide a plan for the disposal ofsewage and solid waste management, seeking the certified copy of Aks Shajraverifying the possession with reference to the ownership from tehsildar,including the site plan superimposed on khasra plan, Dawn News reported.
‘A certificate from the tehsildar and the site plan showing the access fromthe existing revenue road is required,’ stated the authority and clarifiedthat if there is no access from a revenue road to the site, land under theaccess road to the site from the revenue road shall be transferred in thename of the capital administration.
The premier was also asked to submit an undertaking for depositing theconversion and development charges as and when determined and asked by theauthority.
The authority asked the premier to submit the documents within seven daysof the receipt of the reply for regularisation.
Imran Khan’s over 300-kanal house is located in the real estate of MohraNoor and according to CDA record falls in the sub-zone ‘B’ of Zone IV.
