PM Nawaz Sharif invites Putin to inaugurate Karachi- Lahore Gas Pipeline

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has formally invited Russian President Vladimir Putin for inauguration of Karachi- Lahore gas pipeline. PM expressed his desire during a meeting with Russian delegation which was headed by Mr. Victor P Ivanov.

Victor P is also the chairman of Russia- Pakistan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Trade and Scientific Cooperation. While meeting at PM house, Nawaz said Pakistan want to enhance cooperation in all fields including trade, economy, science and technology.

Pakistan want to see peace in Afghanistan which is important for whole region and world. It is necessary for both countries to enter their relations into new phase which would be fruitful for both countries. Pakistan is trying its best for the eradication of terrorism and extremism. Government has created a peaceful, stable and investor friendly environment. Nawaz added.

Ivanov said at the occasion that Pakistan’s efforts to curb terrorism is valuable. Pakistan is a strong country with huge potential for mutual trade between Russia and Pakistan. Direct flights should be started between Moscow and Islamabad that could be helpful for traders and investors of both countries.

Federal Minster Ishaq Dar, Investment Board Chairman Muftah Ismail and others were also present in the meeting.
