An aircraft crashed in the Pune district near Gojubavi village during atraining session on a Sunday, according to an official from the Pune ruraloffice department.
Onboard the aircraft were two individuals, a trainee pilot and aninstructor, both of whom suffered injuries and were promptly transported toa hospital, India today has reported.The incident occurred at approximately8 am, as reported by officials.
In a statement issued several hours following the emergency landing, theDirectorate General of Civil Aviation (DCGA) disclosed, “The Red BirdAcademy Tecnam aircraft with registration VT-RBT executed an emergencylanding in close proximity to the Baramati airfield.
Thankfully, both the instructor and trainee emerged unharmed. Furtherinvestigations into the incident are currently in progress.”
