In a taunt, Afghan batter Ibrahim Zadran, after receiving the Player of theMatch award, chose to dedicate it to the Afghan refugees facing expulsionfrom Pakistan. This heartfelt gesture came following Afghanistan’s historicvictory over Pakistan in an ODI cricket match during the World Cup inChennai.

In the match, Pakistan batted first and set a target of 283 runs forAfghanistan, losing seven wickets in the process. Captain Babar Azam scored74 runs off 92 balls, and opener Abdullah Shafique contributed with afifty, scoring 58 runs from 75 balls.

Afghanistan’s pursuit of the target was successful, and they lost only twowickets in the process. The top three batters of the Afghan team, includingRahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran, played crucial roles by each scoringfifty runs.

Zadran’s outstanding performance, where he made 87 runs off 113 balls,earned him the Player of the Match award, which he dedicated to the Afghanrefugees.
