ISLAMABAD: The export remittances of IT & IT-enabled Services (ITeS),comprising computer services and call centers, surged 43.55pc to $379.251million during the first three months (July-September) of the currentfiscal year (FY21) as compared to $264.187 million in the same period ofFY20, according to a report issued by the Pakistan Software Export Board(PSEB), an attached department of Ministry of IT and Telecommunication.
In a statement issued on Friday, IT and Telecom Minister Syed Aminul Haquesaid that government was taking all possible steps to ensure long term ITindustry growth trajectory and to enhance IT industry exports.
He also lauded the IT sector for its contributions to Pakistan, sayingthat Pakistan’s IT industry has reached an important milestone in itsjourney and it has the potential to be the largest foreign exchange earnerfor Pakistan.
