DERA ISMAIL KHAN – Counter Terrorism Department officials martyred andinjured in encounter with terrorists.
An official, Noor Wali Shah, was martyred and one officer sustainedinjuries in crossfire between Police’s Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD)and terrorists in Dera Ismail Khan, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.
The incident occurred in Ramak area as the CTD conducted a search operationon a tip-off about terrorists. The suspects, hiding inside a house, openedfire on the CTD. The injured official, Jahangir, was rushed to the DI KhanDHQ Hospital.
Six suspects were arrested as a result of the search operation and hugecache of weapons was seized.

The CTD told that one wounded terrorist managed to escape. Moreover, thefuneral prayers for the martyred officer have been offered.
