ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Cricket Board while reacting to Aljazeera’sinvestigative documentary says, that the report fails to provide conclusiveevidence on spot-fixing, and in the absence of decisive evidence theallegations in the report does not hold water.
PCB in a statement said, they along with ICC are analyzing the accusationsraised in the channel’s report.
PCB said, it has always extended 100 percent cooperation to ICC when itcame to combating corruption in cricket, and that it has dealt severepunishments to players found guilty in spot-fixing cases.
Qatar based Al-Jazeera TV in it’s most recent investigative report hasalleged that spot-fixing is commonplace in big cricket matches and from2011 to 2012 there were 26 instances of spot-fixing during 15 cricketmatches.
